New Full Tilt Poker Tournament Format
Full Tilt has made some interesting new additions to their poker software. The first is not a new concept to everyone; it’s called running it twice and this means putting 2 boards of cards out rather than just 1. You can lose the pot, split the pot or win the whole thing depending on if you can win both community boards or not.
Full Tilt has also added cashout tournaments. This is a pretty unique poker concept. You can cashout of a poker tournament at anytime instead of waiting to make the money. You can cashout a part of your stack or you can cash out the whole thing. This is a great feature for those people who get a huge chip stack early in the poker tournament. Even an experienced pro knows when they are doing “Better than normal” or getting lucky early in a tournament.
You can find an explanation of exactly how payouts are made at the bottom of this page.
Although a true pro can leverage those chips better than the average player, I still think that there is a strong argument to be made for cashing out if you are really lucky and have an exceedingly large chip stack early i a poker tournament.
Say you are 10X the starting stack within a few minutes. This would be a huge stack relative to everyone else, but even a great player might make an argument for cashing out in this spot. Check out these cashout tournaments at Full Tilt Poker and get involved with some of the juiciest poker games in the world.
