However, I think there are metrics out there that can crown a best player for any given year. Some ratio of wins per tournament perhaps.

I have heard during multiple poker pro interviews that Ivey is widely considered the best no limit hold'em player. Period. That is just one flavor of one style of poker but it happens to also be the most popular, so more power to Ivey.

But then, he's never played me. ;-)

Comment on Eskimo Clark vs Russ Hamilton

I've been following these two jokers for awhile myself. Initially because I'm a fan of Eskimo Clark, then later simply because I think it's hilarious. But I honestly have to wonder if either account is actually run by who they claim to be. I noticed @BigRussPoker got suspended recently. Oh well... it was fun while it lasted.

Comment on More Exotic Gambling Vacation Spots

I've been to Bahamas and must say it's 10 times more exotic than Vegas. But a lot more expensive too. So be ready to spend some big cash if you wish to have a gambling vacation there.

Comment on Full Tilt Money Withdrawal Problems

I just joined FT after I saw a televised poker tournament and someone wearing their shirt, so I thought it was on the level. I played free poker for a while, then decided to try a little money, so I deposited $300. Now after losing half I want to cash out, and the instructions are so much work and inconvenience you might have to sell your firstborn. I have lost so many high position hands to someone who goes all-in on 4th street and wins on the river. There is always a pause prior to doing so, it's almost like someone knows what cards are coming, heads up, stay away, go to a real casino.

Comment on No Starting Chips For You!!!

yea i know that feelin :D

btw nice picture ;)

Comment on Lol at Poker Collusion

Great post man. So the capacity is there. Btw, they only payed $30 to the winner, and paid all the way down to 1140th+ place.
