“Live at the Bike”- cash games like you have never seen before

Way before the explosion in instructional poker sites and proliferation of poker related video materials, one online broadcast made it possible to learn how to play cash games in a very special way. In 2005 the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles started a daily broadcast of their live cash game with hole card cameras and play by play professional commentary. During two years they produced 400 episodes constantly evolving and improving quality of the content. The shows included Limit and No-Limit games with a variety of stakes and colorful collection of local characters including top professionals.

Two main commentators, David Tuchman and Bart Hanson, started at the Bicycle Casino as props in Limit Holdem but quickly moved to be full time professionals playing in No-Limit games. Gradually, the show gained popularity and many well known poker professionals played and joined the commentators to talk about the game. One of the “must see” episodes includes  deep and almost philosophical commentary by Barry Greenstein. Famous characters who played on “Live at the Bike” include Phil Laak, Freddy Deeb, Tim Phan, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and many others. The show stopped broadcasting in 2007 but all the materials are still available in the archive for 9.95 a month at www.pokernetcast.com. Considering, that it gives you an opportunity  to peek and see the cards of your opponents in a typical brick and mortar poker room it is almost free of charge.
