Rabbit Hunting at Aced Poker
I opened up an account at Aced Poker a few days ago. I deposited a few dollars to check out some of the features that they offer but I don’t think that I lasted more than 20 minutes at the Omaha Tables.
Aced Poker has a feature that lets you rabbit hunt the turn card and the river card. This means that if all of your opponents fold and you win the pot, you can still see which cards would have come on the turn and the river.
In reality, the next card is determined by a random number generator that is constantly cycling through the remaining cards in the deck. The next card to come out is actually determined by the precise timing of when it is queued by the software so that it’s basically impossible to predict. In other words, those aren’t really the next cards that would have come out of the deck, just don’t tell anyone this because it’s still a pretty cool software feature..

There is also a feature that allows you to expose 1 card to your opponent at the table while he or she is trying to make a decision. This is what I am told at least, but I wasn’t at the table long enough to have an opportunity to use this feature. Maybe this is just for hold ‘em games, because I swear I was in a few spots where it should have prompted me to show a card if I wanted to, but who knows. You can check out their software through this link; Download Aced Now!
I’ll put together a review of their poker room eventually for the main area of Big Edge Poker, but for now I can say that I am a big fan of their software. The site is on the merge platform and things seem to run pretty smoothly.
