Omaha Poker Curve
It seems to me that when players start to learn this game, they first think that Omaha is just like Texas Holdem. They soon learn that it is played much differently and as they adjust to this, they pick the game up extremely fast.
I thought that when Omaha Poker started to gain popularity, there would be a cycle that lasted several years where the games were going to be easy to beat. I guess I didn't realize how fast people would flock to the game and how much of it they would play. Maybe it's just me, the majority of players in the poker world are still Texas Holdem players, but the # of people who sit down at the Omaha tables is surely increasing. Maybe it's because of boredom, maybe it's because they think they have a bigger edge in Omaha.
So... Where are all of the good Omaha Poker Games now?
I usually just play in the lower stakes Omaha games on Full Tilt. For a long time I was trying to play Omaha on sites like Aced and RPM Poker... but in the end Full Tilt and Pokerstars are the clear favorites. I prefer FT just because I like their software better and they always accept my Visa card.
What's coming up at Big Edge Poker?
I'm not really sure, and let's be honest, not many people out there really care either. If I have any blog fans that have stuck around over the last few months of slowness here, I would be eternally impressed and flattered. I've got lots of things going on these days, maybe I'll just go back to putting photoshop poker images together for the blog. I remember once when there was a time that I had about 10 guest authors at the blog here... I guess times have changed. Blog On until next time everyone.
